The Role The Tesla Energy Project Engineering team is responsible for the successful deployment of Tesla’s Megapack Energy Storage Systems. We’re looking for a degree-qualified, driven, motivated, and collaborative engineer to join us to help accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. You will be responsible for the execution of China local projects from the design phase through to commissioning, while managing all engineering activities to ensure successful projects. Ability to communicate effectively in English with the APAC team is required. Responsibilities This is a diverse role that requires in-depth knowledge of energy project test plans, grid connections, generator construction projects, constructability, utility requirements, and familiarity with China Electricity Rules. A strong work ethic, a team-oriented personality, and a commercially savvy approach are essential. In this role, you'll be the go-to technical expert for customers during installation and service of Anker SOLIX E1 & X1 systems. You'll provide both on-site support to ensure our solutions are deployed successfully and perform at the highest level. Key Responsibilities: - Support customers and installers with real-time technical consultation during system installation. - Perform on-site services, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SOLIX systems. - Respond to technical inquiries via phone, email, and site visits, delivering timely solutions. - Partner with internal engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve product performance. - Document customer feedback and service reports to inform product improvements. - Assist the project team in conducting beta testing with pilot users during new product introduction period. - Deliver technical training on products to regional installation and service teams.
The Role: The Service Tooling team is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of custom service and commissioning tooling hardware, supporting the rapid deployment and maintenance of Tesla’s Energy storage and charging solutions. This role ensures effective project execution, cost control, product delivery, and quality assurance throughout the development process. This Technical Program Manager will oversee tooling programs from concept to production, coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and manufacturing sites to meet project timelines and cost targets. Responsibilities include defining project scope, managing schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring tooling solutions meet quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: Start-to-finish hardware ownership: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout, prototype, validation, and manufacturing of circuit boards/panel electronics. Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, power budgets, validation results, procedures on how to use, testing plans, etc. Rapidly iterate as electrical design requirements and product features/interfaces mature over time. Design service and commissioning tooling for user interface robustness. Drive mechanical enclosing requirements and collaborate with Mechanical engineers on safely and efficiently encasing electronic tool designs. Propose custom technical solutions to drive application customization for our Energy storage products. Ability to travel to commissioning sites, containment sites, and Giga factories 10-15% of the time.
