What to Expect
The Tesla Energy Products team is bringing battery and energy storage to the grid to facilitate a renewable energy ecosystem and redefine the way the world will use energy in the future. As part of the Mechanical Design Team, you will support battery module mechanical design for the Megapack product line. The role requires collaboration with the manufacturing, enclosure, thermal, and service teams, and the ability to apply engineering fundamentals. Our team is composed of individuals who are fast-moving, self-motivated, resilient, who love to solve difficult problems, and are team players. What You’ll Do
• Drive components and subsystems from requirement definition & design concept through launch and production ramp
• Develop and execute new technologies that improve product metrics (performance, cost, mass), independently identify and lead improvements to existing products
• Provide technical leadership / mentorship / design review for less-experienced employees
