This role will be responsible for firmware validation of the charging system, including developing validation strategies, test cases for new hardware and firmware, and building automation validation bucks for ACDC system, improve the automation. The Role The Factory Firmware Team is focused on vehicle software and integration engineering in support of manufacturing and new product introduction. This will include projects to create or improve integration tools, as well as tasks to investigate vehicle software improvements in the manufacturing environment. It is important that this person is excited about learning new skills and systems and has strong collaboration skills. This person will be expected to move projects along at an aggressive pace and to get your hands dirty in the details of various subsystems – digging through backend logs, root causing issues and developing solutions to complex problems. The Factory Firmware Team is the eyes and ears of the Firmware organization within the factory and often have the last say on the deployment of new firmware to manufacturing – providing valuable insight and feedback to accelerate development of new software features. Responsibilities • Develop software tools for vehicle diagnostics, testing, and validation under manufacturing environment • Create software solutions to bridge manufacturing process gaps and help team be more productive and efficient • Dig into data, system design and source code to identify and debug issues at the system level and propose robust solutions

Deliver test setups to integrate new subsystems with simulated and/or actual vehicle components. Report and track issues with software and/or hardware releases. Investigate field issues through data analysis and issue reproduction. Continuously look for ways to improve the safety, performance and customer satisfaction with Tesla products.

The Department The responsibility of Service Engineering, as part of Vehicle Software Engineering, is to provide end to end engineering solution based on customer needs, to improve product's reliability, serviceability, sustainability and to implement changes to the customers based on high iteration speed. Key responsibilities: Partner with engineering teams to create and update diagnostic information and procedures contained in the diagnostics knowledge base for use by non-engineers. Collaborate with various engineering and quality teams to gather technical information. Understand technical problems and communicate them effectively to non-technical people. Validate information for accuracy and use a routing and review process for document approval. Edit content according to a style guide and enforce organization standards. Improve editorial and visual standards for documentation and recommend new designs, layouts, and formatting as needed. Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration software (such as JIRA, SharePoint, and custom databases). Create and improve internal engineering process documentations Translate technical regulations and communicate with engineering team
