Change the world. Love your job. The Texas Instruments (TI) Government Relations team represents the company on important public policy issues around the world. We work with key government stakeholders, trade associations, business partners, and internal teams to advance a policy and regulatory environment that supports TI’s business priorities. Texas Instruments is seeking a Director of Public and Business Affairs in China to spearhead efforts to maintain TI’s position as a valued technology partner with manufacturing in the region. As Director of Public & Business Affairs, China, you will be responsible for the company’s strategic relationships with Chinese government authorities, policy-makers, industry/trade associations and academic institutions relevant to TI’s business. The trade and regulatory environment in China will be a key focus of the role, as will maintaining effective manufacturing operations, corporate functions, and product distribution in China. This position will have a direct report who manages government relations and related responsibilities in Chengdu. This role will be based in Beijing or Shanghai and will dual-report to the Vice President, Global Government Relations (Washington DC) and Vice President, China Sales and Applications (Shanghai). Position Roles and Responsibilities • Establish, cultivate and maintain long-term, constructive relationships with key Chinese government authorities (central and provincial), as well as affiliated institutions, associations/alliances, think-tanks, academic institutions, and other stakeholders relevant to TI’s business. • Provide support to maintain effective manufacturing operations in Chengdu, China corporate functions and product distribution. • Develop and execute government engagement strategies and partnership programs with targeted stakeholders in alignment with corporate business objectives. • Work with our communicators to craft compelling messaging showcasing the value proposition of TI solutions in the China market. • Engage authorities concerning our business and policy goals and the potential impact of proposed policies and regulations on the company, its commercial partners and the broader ecosystem. • Monitor, anticipate and analyze key policy and regulatory developments that may impact TI’s business and commercial partnerships. • Advise the China leadership team and other corporate leaders on policy-related risks and opportunities and recommend options and solutions on both business and policy issues. • Establish strong communication channels with internal colleagues in China and the US to keep them informed of key developments and trends. Ensure continual alignment and effective partnership in executing business and engagement plans and strategies. • Manage TI’s engagement and relationships with external consultants, industry peers, trade associations, think tanks and academia in support of the company’s business goals and government affairs agenda in the China market. • Create and manage opportunities for TI executives and subject matter experts to provide thought leadership interactions with key Chinese decision-makers
1. Build and maintain relationship with public authorities at different levels related to Xiaomi business, including ministries, local authorities etc. 2. Provide in-depth analysis of mobility industry policies and regulations related to Xiaomi’s business in Europe, identifying and monitoring potential risks and giving policy advice. 3. Coordinate mobility industrial association memberships relevant to Xiaomi’s business and develop and manage a network of contacts with industrial partners. 4. Represent Xiaomi’s position in regular interactions with different actors in government, think tanks, international organizations and other public agencies. 5. Collaborate cross-functionally with local business units (such as R&D, sales and marketing teams) and provide support for relevant issues. 6. Assist the mobility team to conduct policy analysis and facilitate activities on European level.
1. Primarily you will be a very crucial part of the virtual team from Germany for public policy, regulatory affairs, compliance and issue management related to Vehicle Automation & Safety. You ‘sit’ in the regional office which needs a lot alignment between HQ and country offices but you will also ‘act’ in a timely manner to critical issues and sometimes liaise or lead unified programs and activities for the whole region in your domain. You need to collaborate closely with R&D, product planning, test and engineering, homologation, legal and compliance colleagues and external agencies. 2. One of the mandates for this position is to maintain a holistic analytical approach of policy and legislation development at both EU and UNECE levels related to Vehicle Automation & Safety in order to identify opportunities and risks. 3. Develop communication narratives and draft briefing materials and presentations, and advocate legislative, regulatory, and public policy positions in close collaboration with XPENG experts. Support XPENG’s mission of promoting a rapid transition to a much safer and securer advanced assisted driving and automated driving. 4. Being entrepreneurial, build and maintain healthy relationships with various external stakeholders including EU institutions, key member states’ governments, regulatory bodies, trade associations, and assess and explore potential local and regional business relationships and partnerships. Address external stakeholders’ expectations of XPENG in Europe and support steady growth of partnerships. 5. Participate in relevant events and represent XPENG in meetings and organize engagement activities. Explore and develop related collaborative projects.

Business risk monitoring and early warning treatment: Establish a complete business risk identification and early warning mechanism, refine business risk classification and grading standards, and quickly identify potential risks. 2. Construction and maintenance of business risk monitoring platform: It can make business risk monitoring tools cover a variety of channels (including social media, mainstream news websites, search engines, etc.), ensure the real-time and stability of the system, and design an efficient data collection and analysis mechanism 3. Business risk data analysis and decision support: Design a new in-depth business risk analysis system and regularly output business risk monitoring results 4. Collaborate with cross-departmental: work closely with market, public relations, legal affairs and business departments to ensure that the results of business risk monitoring are promptly transmitted and transformed into action plans
