Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in product management, game operations, system design, or live service games, preferably with experience in mobile games. • Experience owning or supporting player-facing systems such as progression, social, party, profile, collection, achievement, mission, onboarding, or other engagement-related systems. • Strong product judgment and player empathy, with the ability to identify player needs and translate them into clear product requirements and experience improvements. • Ability to work through moderately complex product problems, evaluate trade-offs, and propose practical solutions within defined constraints. • Strong data literacy, with experience using engagement, retention, funnel, social, or feature usage data to evaluate product performance and guide iteration. • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience working closely with design, engineering, publishing, analytics, research, or external development partners. • Experience working in a co-development or distributed team environment, including aligning stakeholders across different teams, cultures, or regions. • Fluent in Mandarin and English. Responsibilities • Drive the product direction and execution support for VALORANT Mobile meta systems, including progression, social, party-up, asset display, player identity, and other out-of-match player experiences. • Partner closely with Quantum Studio to define product goals, feature requirements, user flows, experience principles, and acceptance criteria for new and existing meta system features. • Review and refine Quantum Studio’s feature implementation throughout the development cycle, ensuring the final player experience is intuitive, polished, and aligned with VALORANT’s product quality bar. • Use player behavior data, research insights, competitive references, and product intuition to identify opportunities that improve engagement, retention, social connection, and long-term player motivation. • Collaborate with Riot VALORANT teams, publishing stakeholders, and other product owners to ensure meta system direction aligns with broader VALORANT product principles, version planning, live operations, and player needs. • Support the planning and prioritization of meta system improvements across patches, balancing player impact, development cost, business goals, and delivery timelines. • Act as the voice of VALORANT Mobile players in the meta system space, ensuring features serve both core tactical shooter players and broader mobile audiences. • Monitor post-launch feature performance and player feedback, then build actionable optimization plans with Quantum Studio and relevant Riot stakeholders for future iterations. • Contribute to cross-functional discussions on how meta systems connect with gameplay, monetization, content, social, and live service strategies.
• Responsible for in-game event experience through close collaboration with VAL regional and global team, and local publishers. • Responsible for in-game asset resource management. Design and run a healthy and sustainable asset distribution program to effectively control the in-game and out-of-game asset usage. • Identify local key publishing moments to deliver various in-game and out-of-game events and rewards contents. Leverage moments and thematic contents to drive gaming activity growth and player sentiments. • Work closely with the monetization, product and insights team in applying quantitative/qualitative research methods, generating local player research reports, and forecasting future business performance. • Provide timely business insights and performance updates to China and global leadership.
