Responsibilities: 1 Overall Responsibilities - Work together with various business teams to plan for and execute both corporate, consumer-facing and seller-targeted communication activations, to effectively deliver on the objectives above. - Develop strategic narratives and provide insights that appeal to media, thought leaders and consumers. This includes developing messaging for Lazada’s technology, products and initiatives. - Support on thought leadership and industry speaking opportunities for our executives - Develop and execute a media relationship building programme, including: (a) Maintaining and managing a database of international media based in Malaysia + local key media for Lazada announcements and outreach (b) Planning media engagements to cultivate individual media relationships (c) Working together with agencies & partners to manage and cultivate relationship with media KOLs - Work closely with the rest of Lazada’s centralized communications team across the region to deliver on regional communications activations and provide strategic insights from Malaysia's perspective. 2. Press Office Function & Content Creation - Handle media queries and interviews – including drafting of responses, follow up and coordination of interviews, drafting of briefing documents, work together with various business teams and the agency to handle media queries timely. - Support on content creation that includes Lazada’s news hub executives’ LinkedIn profile and other paid media engagements. This can be in various formats - print, online, podcasts, videos, etc. - Development of communications materials, including: press releases, story angles, pitch notes, bylines, FAQs, etc monthly according to business requirements - Identify, evaluate and support thought leadership opportunities (regional + in-market opps) in the form of speaker opportunities at industry conferences or long-form content creation 3 Issues Management - Provide issues management and crisis communications counsel to mitigate negative coverage or mentions of Lazada Malaysia - Support on issue & crisis monitoring & daily report to relevant teams - Includes media monitoring, crafting of holding/media statements and liaising with media (if necessary)
Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with MNOs and MVNOs globally. Maintain strong relationships to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual growth. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives. Manage the end-to-end process from initial contact to contract signing. Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to expand the availability and reach of travel essentials products, driving market share growth in key regions. Product Enhancement: Collaborate with partners to develop and launch new products or services that meet the needs of travelers. Provide market insights to optimize product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless integration and execution of different projects. Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and analyze partner performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to improve outcomes and maximize ROI. Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in the telecom sector. Use this information to inform strategy and drive innovation. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on business partnership activities, market trends, and performance metrics for senior management.
1. Assist in implementing the Choice business strategies, standards, and SOPs formulated by the regional team to ensure that local business operations follow the established directions. 2. Establish good cooperative relationships with local suppliers and partners, expand business resources, and promote the continuous development of the business. 3. Serve as a communication bridge between the local team and the regional team, and accurately and promptly convey the needs and information of both sides to ensure efficient and smooth business collaboration. 4. Collaborate with and track the local BD and buyer teams in the daily operation and management of the local product inventory, including tasks such as product listing, inventory control, and price adjustment, to improve the sales performance of local products. 5. Handle various problems and emergencies that arise during the implementation of local business, coordinate resources from all parties to solve them, and maintain the continuous operation of the business. 6. Participate in formulating marketing activity plans for the local market, integrating regional strategies with local characteristics to enhance the market competitiveness of the business.
- Lead the development and execution/develop of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the overall business strategy and risk appetite, in accordance with business conditions, the regulatory environment, and industry trends. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive ERM framework, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring processes. - Collaborate with the Executive Team and department heads to integrate risk management practices across all functions and business units. Collaborate to ensure the effective execution of risk controls and advise on risk reduction opportunities & best practices for risk management. - Provide thought leadership and guidance on emerging risks, including operational, strategic, compliance, and reputation - Oversee the development and testing of business continuity plans and disaster recovery procedures to ensure organizational resilience in the event of disruptions, and oversee the management of crisis situations, ensuring that risk mitigation measures are implemented swiftly and effectively. - Foster a risk-aware culture across the organization by ensuring effective communication of risk management policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Overview: This is a dynamic and strategic role that requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end outsourcing procurement and vendor operations across Southeast Asia, ensuring cost efficiency, operational excellence, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: ꔷ Lead the procurement, project delivery, and vendor management of outsourced labor services across Southeast Asian countries for Lazada. This includes roles such as Customer Service, Information auditing, Tagging, Content and User Operations, and Blue-collar roles in logistics and warehousing. ꔷ Develop a deep understanding of the Southeast Asian labor market and manage the full vendor lifecycle—selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, and retention. ꔷ Drive cost optimization initiatives by analyzing labor cost benchmarks across markets and implementing diversified cost-saving strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders. ꔷ Manage end-to-end procurement processes including vendor sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiations, contract management, annual framework agreements, and project delivery. ꔷ Proactively develop and manage key stakeholders, suppliers, and agencies. Build strong relationships, complete performance scorecards, and deliver constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement. ꔷ Ensure procurement processes are transparent, ethical, and fully compliant with legal requirements and internal compliance policies. ꔷ Adhere to the Procurement SOPs and guidelines, while educating internal teams on procurement best practices and standardized ways of working. ꔷ Assist in the development and implementation of KPIs and SLAs for suppliers to track performance and ensure service quality. ꔷ Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, finance, and accounting to ensure alignment and accuracy in procurement-related operations. ꔷ Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., business units, outsourcing management, legal, finance, and systems teams) and external partners to support the digitalization and systemization of the outsourcing lifecycle.
