REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE • Strong understanding of contract law, banking law, and related legal principles, particularly in the banking industry. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft and negotiate contracts in Chinese (mandarin) and English. • Attention to detail and ability to review and analyze contracts for legal and business implications. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software. • Legal qualifications in any APAC jurisdiction (either common law or civil law jurisdiction), min. 4 years of PQE. • Bachelor's degree in law or related field (Juris Master degree preferred). • Read and written fluency in Chinese/Mandarin and English for internal communications, document review, research and drafting. • Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in contract management or banking finance matters, with a focus on banking finance business. • Experience in the banking industry is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY You will be responsible for supporting the legal team in managing contracts related to banking financing matters. This may include bank account agreements, cash pooling agreements, FX agreements and other legal contracts. You will work closely with the legal team to review, draft, and negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong work ethic. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts related to banking finance matters. This may include bank account agreements, cash pooling agreements, FX agreements. • Assisting with contract management, including organizing and maintaining contract files, tracking contract deadlines, and ensuring compliance with contract terms. • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including business development, marketing, operations, and finance teams, to ensure that contracts align with company objectives and policies. • Conducting legal research and providing legal advice on various banking finance and contract-related matters. • Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to banking, and contracts, and providing updates to the legal team and internal stakeholders.
We are seeking an experienced and mature Reporting Senior Manager to lead and manage the team that is responsible for the end-to-end group reporting process. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting, while also providing oversight over legal entity financial controllership, including maintenance of entity structures, intercompany reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, proven leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, tax, legal, and operational functions to continuously improve processes and support the integrity of group- level financial information. Legal Entity Controllership • Serve as the financial steward of designated legal entities, ensuring proper accounting, reporting, and compliance. • Oversee legal entity maintenance, including new entity set-up, mergers, dissolutions, and reorganizations. • Partner with tax, treasury, and legal teams to ensure appropriate entity-level reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Review balance sheet and income statement at the entity level for accuracy and trend analysis. Process Ownership & Improvement • Champion initiatives to streamline and automate the consolidation process. • Drive standardization and harmonization of reporting practices across entities. • Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, chart of accounts alignment, and system integration. • Provide support for implementation of on-going and new projects such systems simplification, legal organization structure simplification and compliance matters Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of managers, accountants or analysts involved in consolidation and reporting. • Act as the key liaison between local entity finance teams, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting. • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deliverables are met. • Support internal and external audit processes and respond to audit queries related to consolidation and legal entity reporting.
Ant International Legal Department is seeking an experienced lawyer to support its digital banking business in Hong Kong. The role will be based in Shenzhen and will primarily support an innovative team that develops and manages a range of digital financial products in core banking, lending, wealth and insurance.
