Based in Hong Kong, this individual will be the key person of the Hong Kong AML Team to support Ant Group’s Alipay business. We are looking to hire a detail-oriented, hard-working senior compliance professional to join Ant Group. This person will work closely with regulators such as Hong Kong Customs and JFIU, other AML team members, legal, risk management, data privacy and other legal/compliance professionals, as well as Business, Product and Operation teams at Ant Group. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, exercise good judgement, experienced in the relevant Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), Counter-Terrorist Financing (“CTF”), and sanctions in remittance, payments or financial services industry, and with demonstrable ability to effectively and proactively engage and partner with the business in a fast-paced and engaging environment. Responsibilities: 1.Act as the focal point for the oversight of all activities relating to the prevention and detection of AML/Sanctions/CTF in Hong Kong; 2.Provide support / guidance to the senior management to ensure that AML/Sanctions /CTF risks are adequately identified, understood and managed, in particular to communicate key AML/Sanctions /CTF issues including significant compliance deficiencies; 3.Carry out risk assessment at the enterprise level and on products and services offered by Ant Group; 4.Provide support and guidance to the Business Development team in relation to AML/Sanctions /CTF issues; 5.Work with in-house AML product and technology team to select and implement relevant technology solutions; 6.Actively identify and report suspicious transactions by reviewing internal disclosures and act as the main point of contact with the Hong Kong regulators and law enforcement agencies. Implement effective SAR reporting procedures in accordance with the local requirements; 7.Ensure financial crime surveillance and intelligence in country is effective; 8.Develop and review the AML/Sanctions /CTF systems to ensure they remain up-to-date, meet current statutory and regulatory requirements and are effective in managing AML/Sanctions /CTF risks arising from the business; 9.Ensure AML/Sanctions /CTF staff training is adequate, appropriate and effective; 10.Conduct due diligence review on strategic business partner to evaluate potential AML/Sanctions /CTF risks.
As the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) for ANEXT Bank (“the Bank”), the individual will have overall responsibility for developing, maintaining and implementing the Bank’s AML, Countering the Financing of Terrorism (“CFT”) and Sanctions Programme. The MLRO will report to the Head of Legal & Compliance, and work closely with the Bank’s senior management to ensure that the Bank’s AML / CFT Programme is robust and in line with regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced and dynamic working environment. • Ensure that the AML / CFT and Sanctions function is best-in-class, and continuously keeps abreast with evolving regulatory requirements and expectations. • Provide support / guidance to senior management to ensure that AML / CFT and Sanctions risks are adequately identified, understood and mitigated. • Be the main point of contact for MAS and relevant law enforcement agencies, with regards to AML / CFT matters. Work closely with Regulatory Compliance to ensure that the Bank continues to build its credibility with MAS, in respect of the Bank’s overall AML / CFT posture. • Maintain a strong relationship with the AML functions across both Ant International (“A&I”), given the close collaboration and partnerships within the A&I ecosystem. • Embrace and leverage technology to fight financial crime through the various AML / CFT control verticals viz a viz High-Risk Reviews, Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening, etc, to achieve operational efficiencies. • Collaborate with Client Risk Management and KYC Operations, in ensuring that their processes are aligned with corresponding AML / CFT policies. • Formulate, implement and perform periodic reviews of the AML / CFT and Sanctions Programme, policies and procedures for the Bank. • Ensure that AML / CFT and Sanctions training for employees is adequate, appropriate and effective.
Performing the role of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) for a Singapore payment entity within the Ant International, the individual will have overall responsibility for developing, maintaining and implementing the entity’s Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) / Countering the Financing of Terrorism (“CFT”) Programme. The individual will work closely with regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”), internal business and operation teams of the entity, as well as other internal stakeholders, including but not limited to members of the Legal, Compliance and other various departments and functions within Ant International. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic working environment. The candidate will be versatile and flexible with the ability to manage with ambiguity in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. The AIDC Financial Compliance team is responsible for licensed financial services market entry, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a country compliance program aligned with group compliance frameworks, and advising internal stakeholders on compliance matters. The team covers Lazada in Southeast Asia, AliExpress globally, and Daraz in South Asia. Responsibilities: Based in Thailand, the Thailand Financial Compliance Officer will have responsibility in ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining a country compliance program aligned with group compliance frameworks, and advising internal stakeholders on compliance matters, including: - Leading regulatory engagements and ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements with relevant regulators and relevant internal and external stakeholders; - Advising on payments / lending / financial services regulatory matters, and assisting in the development and implementation of new products, features, and businesses lines; - Providing timely and quality regulatory advice for negotiations on strategic, complex and high value agreements; - Developing and implementing Group Compliance initiatives in-country, including – technology risk management, business continuity management, outsourcing, and consumer protection policies in line with local regulatory expectations and requirements; - Incident management (e.g. responding to regulatory investigations / inspections by authorities / assisting in PR incident responses/ submission of STRs); - Preparing for, and managing, audits and inspections by relevant regulators; - Localising and implementing Group-wide financial compliance programs and training for internal stakeholders; - Being the in-country champion in driving a culture of compliance; - Other additional duties as assigned.
