As Senior Manager of Retail Technology Innovation in China, you will be the focal point of architecting and building the technology for customer-facing experiences, that bring Apple’s brand to life in Retail Stores. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager intern to deep dive GenAI and Large Language Model (LLM) and their application to JP ecommerce. As a successful candidate, you will have experience deep diving new business areas, gathering industry trends, conducting business analysis, applying business judgements and providing fact based recommendations. You have a strong bias toward data driven decision making, tech driven solution designing and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems and to each other. You should be comfortable with an extremely high degree of ambiguity, can work across a wide cross section of stakeholders, and relish the idea of solving challenging problems. You will tackle novel, situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Amazon teams around the globe.
The Senior Category Manager is responsible to develop the overall strategy for a product category and research new product opportunities within the category to drive sale and achieve set targets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS: - Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends. - Identify and establish long-term partnerships with direct distributors and salers. - Stay on the lookout for new suppliers based on strategy. - Assist in setting the yearly budget/sale target and profit per category. - Administer the price setting and respect the margin per category. - Monitor and enhance category/product performance. - Establish long-term development strategies for product categories. - Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products. - Create trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. - Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility. Monitor price and competition. - Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
