- Provide legal advice and handle legal matters relating to sales, marketing, after sales operations, logistic, product compliances, HR, admin and internal support functions - Research and advise on laws and regulations which may impact on Xiaomi Vietnam business - Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts - Review marketing material and retail marketing campaigns - Communicate and liaise with regulatory and/or local authorities - Handle legal disputes and consumer claims, including manage external counsels

Title: Legal Manager -Overseas Intellectual Property Direction Location: Xiamen Key Responsibilities ● Overseas IP Lifecycle Management & Strategy: Manage the full lifecycle of the company's overseas trademarks, patents, designs, and copyrights. Partner with overseas law firms and local regulatory authorities to support global business expansion, brand layout, infringement risk control, and enforcement litigation. Build out the global IP compliance framework. ● Overseas IP Layout & Prosecution: Lead the end-to-end process from registration to right confirmation for overseas trademarks, patents, and copyrights, while effectively managing application quality, timelines, and costs. ● Overseas IP Risk Control & Infringement Management: Conduct trademark and patent infringement screening and clearance searches in target overseas markets. Deliver overseas IP risk assessment reports to proactively mitigate product export risks, and initiate third-party enforcement actions or invalidation proceedings against competitor trademarks/patents. ● Overseas IP Compliance, Transactions & Local Policy Alignment: Monitor legislative updates and examination rule changes across various common law and civil law jurisdictions, and synchronously update the company's overseas IP management policies. ● Overseas IP Empowerment & Internal Collaboration: Conduct internal training on overseas IP compliance, generate country-specific IP access guides, and leverage intellectual property to empower the company's global business growth. ● Ad-hoc Assignments: Complete other specialized tasks as assigned by leadership.
Support various legal affairs in South Korea, including but not limited to the following tasks: 1. Review daily business contracts and draft contract templates; 2. Be responsible for legal consulting affairs in various sectors such as distribution, e-commerce, offline retail, and after-sales service; 3. Conduct legal research activities in various fields; 4. Deal with unexpected risk events; 5. Conduct legal training; 6. What the Role Entails Responsibilities Advise on a wide range of legal and commercial matters, including cloud services, AI, technology licensing, open source software, and export control compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate complex software licensing, cloud services, cloud infrastructure, channel distribution agreements, and other general commercial agreements. Collaborate with external counsel and other Tencent attorneys worldwide (around 500 lawyers) , including in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the EU, the UK and the US, to provide compliance and regulatory analysis for international business initiatives. Identify potential legal risks, compliance gaps and regulatory challenges, and prepare creative, practical solutions to help business teams mitigate risks. Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance policies, knowledge management systems , and processes to address compliance issues, ensuring alignment with international regulatory standards. Create and deliver online training materials to educate business stakeholders and product teams on evolving laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Advise management on the implications of legal and regulatory developments. Who We Look For Qualifications We would like our candidate to have: 5-7 years of experience working in a law firm or in‑house legal department in the areas of technology, online platforms, cloud services, software development, or similar industry sectors. Strong academic credentials and membership in a relevant Bar, or possession of other recognized professional qualifications or equivalent membership. A second degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar subject is an advantage. A track record of making sound business judgments and the ability to deliver practical, commercially‑friendly, and comprehensive advice. Detail‑oriented, with extensive experience in legal compliance, commercial matters, intellectual property, and licensing transactions in cloud computing, AI, technology development, and bespoke tech projects. The ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment, independently manage day‑to‑day compliance work, and handle the end‑to‑end transaction process from initial contract review through to negotiation and execution. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in Mandarin Chinese and English, enabling effective collaboration with international stakeholders and those based at Mainland China HQ Be proactive, a strong team player, and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with business stakeholders.
