Electronics Validation Engineer Tesla Electronics Test and Automation Group (ETAG) is the main point of contact to ensure the highest quality vehicle, silicon and robotics electronics for our customers. Our mission is to develop test automation equipment, architect software automation framework, and provide hardware/software/data infrastructure for Tesla electronics communities worldwide. We are seeking a multi-faceted Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for all aspects of validating, identifying, analyzing, root causing, implementing countermeasures, and reporting on issues affecting all low voltage PCBAs from APAC markets. Main components including, but not limited to, body controllers and car computers. This candidate will work with test/design engineers within the group to quickly mitigate and implement countermeasures at suppliers and factories to improve quality, reliability, durability of the products. Primary Responsibilities • Work with quality engineers, supplier engineers and suppliers to monitor products performance, identify trending issues. Prioritize based on Severity, occurrence, and/or cost of each failure modes • Detailed failure analysis, identifying root-cause of problems – Perform board-level debugging to isolate faults for physical FA • Apply knowledge of electrical engineering and PCBA manufacturing to drive containment and corrective action implementation into production / design / supplier / Firmware. • Participate in continuous improvement activities and take preventive actions. • Share Lessons Learned from previous field issues; Provide upfront feedback by participating in design reviews to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability issues are identified and risks mitigated. 1. Plan, coordinate, and execute total vehicle and sub-system tests to validate performance, durability, safety, quality, functions and compliance with relevant standards 2. Support vehicle development from concept through to final validation, including prototype and pre-series testing 3. Take responsibility for the release recommendation (sign-off) of tested systems or components, based on test results and performance evaluation 4. Define and implement test procedures based on technical requirements and regulatory guidelines 5. Operate and monitor vehicle testing equipment and data acquisition systems 6. Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed technical feedback to development teams 7. Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and external testing service providers 8. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools

You will be responsible for validating the performance and functional aspects of Wireless on Apple products from a user experience perspective throughout their development lifecycle, from early prototypes to post-release phases. Your role will also involve ensuring that Wireless on Apple products remains at the forefront of technological advancements. You'll conduct in-depth analysis and proposing improvements to innovative technologies developed at Apple through focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end-user connectivity experiences. Key Responsibilities Include: -Developing and running Wi-Fi test plans with a primary focus on user experience to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. -Performing failure analysis to identify hardware or software issues through laboratory and field experiments. -Conducting in-depth Wi-Fi/BT analysis of hardware, software, and system issues, including protocol stack analysis (PHY, MAC, Network, and Application layers). -Generating comprehensive system performance test reports that include key performance indicators, highlighting critical issues, and providing a concise, data-driven summary for senior management review. -Applying your data-driven expertise and deep engineering knowledge to influence program decisions. -Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves development and execution of validation and characterization methodologies for Apple’s touch solutions, from proof-of-concept to mass production. The engineer acting as a Direct Responsible Individual will be responsible for: - Leading the development and execution of engineering validation and characterization methodologies for Apple’s touch solutions across different products - Driving strategies with multi-functional teams, including test, firmware, software, mechanical design and reliability engineering to deliver groundbreaking touch solutions - Designing metrics and figures-of-merit to guide touch design and performance tracking - Architecting and designing HW & SW infrastructure with pioneering robotics for innovative test solutions - Managing vendors to implement validation tools, plans and infrastructure at vendor sites - Performing failure mode analysis with advanced analysis tools to drive root cause diagnosis and system-level problem solving - Authoring reports and communications pertaining to key results and checkpoints - Business travel (Primarily within China.
