- Responsible for developing the quality plan, infrastructure and its implementation for new projects by working closely with Apple multi-functional teams and the suppliers. - Support for NPI build activities and also support in MP. - Applies quality and reliability concepts during our products development phase as well as in the mass production to put in place quality controls in the manufacturing process. - Thoroughly understands the design and manufacturing process as well as capabilities of various manufacturing processes used and designs appropriate testing/controls to guarantee output quality. - Works with equipment vendors to design metrology (measurement inspection) equipment, approves DFMs and applies metrology concepts in qualification and validation of equipment. - Uses statistical tools to make everyday decisions such as sample size calculations, distribution analysis, process capability, etc and move the program forward. - Closely collaborates with the multi-functional team in the product development phase to assess product risks and paths to mitigate them. - Participates in the development and implementation of Product Quality Plan (PQP). - Develops specific quality programs during development and qualification stages. - Reviews product design to ensure quality objectives are met. - Closely work with suppliers to meet the quality expectations. - Collaborate with the suppliers and Apple multi-functional team to help set up the IQC, IPQC, OQC and ORT processes for key parts. - Establishes discovery audit procedures and ensures performance to standards by Apple test personnel.

Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with U.S.-based peers on technology evaluation, design investigation, and process development for new products. Responsibilities also include guiding and executing thermal testing at OEM and supplier factories, from test setup, data analysis to report preparation. Experience in passive device thermal design is highly valued. Establish and manage relationships with thermal suppliers to identify emerging technologies and collaborate on developing innovative solutions aligned with Apple's product roadmap needs. Lead the way in suggesting and adopting innovative ideas to improve the productivity and quality of thermal components. Provide in-region expertise for root cause analysis and corrective action of system thermal failures and defective thermal parts/materials. Train engineers at OEM and vendor factories to produce high-quality products using well-defined specifications, advanced production processes, and up-to-date validation tools and codes.

1. Engineering Thermal Problem Solving -Lead the investigation, analysis and solution of practical engineering thermal issues related to thermal management of core products such as electric drive systems, electronic motor, power electronic devices and power semiconductor devices; -Form implementable engineering rectification plans and promote closed-loop verification to ensure the thermal safety and reliability of products under full working conditions. 2. Thermal Design and Simulation Optimization -Take the lead in thermal design work of electric drive, power electronics and power semiconductors, formulate thermal design specifications and technical standards; -Use CFD simulation tools to conduct steady-state/transient temperature field and flow field simulation, carry out multi-physics coupling simulation analysis, optimize heat dissipation schemes (air cooling, liquid cooling, phase change cooling, etc.), balance thermal performance, cost, space and manufacturability, and improve product thermal efficiency and power density. 3. Thermal Testing and Verification System Construction -Lead the construction and upgrading of thermal testing platforms, formulate thermal test plans, test standards and DVP verification plans, organize product thermal performance tests, temperature rise tests, reliability tests, etc., analyze test data, revise simulation models, and improve simulation accuracy; -Establish a thermal test database, accumulate test experience and technical parameters, and support product iteration and optimization. 4. Technical Capability Development -Track the global technical development trends, industry standards and competitor dynamics in the Thermal field (electric drive, power electronics, power semiconductor direction); -Take the lead in building the company's Thermal technology system, formulate the development plan of thermal management technology, promote the innovation of thermal management technology and the pre-research and implementation of cutting-edge technologies (such as new heat dissipation materials, advanced cooling schemes); -Be responsible for the technical training and guidance of the team's Thermal technology, cultivate professional talents in thermal design and thermal simulation, and improve the overall technical capability of the team; -Accumulate technical documents, design manuals and fault case databases, and promote the standardization of technology.
