As a Manufacturing Test Engineer you’ll be expected to: • Design and Develop test solutions and test-setup prototypes for new technologies • Work collaboratively with engineering and operations partners • Serve as a test lead on cross-functional projects with significant bottom-line impact • Ensure the quality and execution of our manufacturing test systems • Lead test design and drive test coverage reviews with engineering teams and CMs. • Proactively communicate technical information and status to broad, cross-functional teams via weekly updates • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions • Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations • Travel to development and build sites in Seattle and Asia to support NPI activities. • Work with contract manufacturing test teams to ensure test line readiness for NPI build events. In this role, you will: - Design and develop advanced optical sensor test stations and integrate sophisticated instrumentation - Build algorithms for calibration, validation, and optimization in high-volume manufacturing environments - Apply advanced data processing or AI/ML techniques to improve test coverage, accuracy, and yield - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated mechanical, electrical, and software test solutions - Debug complex optical-electrical-software issues and lead system commissioning at global manufacturing sites
• Define and deliver scalable test software architecture usable across multiple product lines. • Build drivers, applications, protocols, frameworks, and utilities that power Apple test systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Hardware, Software, Operations, and CoreOS. • Develop and deploy calibration and restore software solutions for new product introductions. • Expand CI/CD pipelines with automation, testing frameworks, and diagnostic utilities. • Investigate and resolve issues with hands-on debugging and performance optimization. • Partner with and lead vendors to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions. • Drive continuous improvement in software design, system efficiency, and development processes.
• Based on understanding a product feature, determine the best manufacturing stage for testing GPU/CPU hardware features. This could be ATE, socketed or board-level system test, rack-level test, or pod/cluster-level test, as needed. • Create new tests or test conditions based on an understanding of hardware features or learnings from customer returns or gaps in internal manufacturing stages. • Perform or automate test runs, analyze and visualize data to ensure a high-quality test, and guide debug for yield or escape issues. • Partner with test engineering and operations teams to implementing efficient manufacturable test solutions
STM (Site Technical Manager) is the single threaded owner for manufacturing technical issues for assigned projects with our Contract Manufacturers, focus on: - Ensure technical readiness for product ramp and serve as manufacturing engineering owner for product PVT and mass production. - Driving manufacture test flow optimization, process and yield improvements to exceed our volume production goals. - Define the manufacture process qualification criteria, manage the qualification activities, and complete the documentation. - Leading our efforts for root cause and corrective action for all manufacturing process related issues, dive deep to analyze the problems found both in and out of the factory. - Participation in design & planning through DFM, Line balancing , as well as Process Yield, Capacity and Cost Modeling. - Work with CM’s engineering teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM and DFT principles. - Review and approval of Fixtures Designs & Qualification (FATP, Device build) - Review and execute Manufacturing Test Coverage Documents to ensure new products launch. - Work with sustaining engineering team on the opportunities to improve our product, owns the technical readiness of PRQ in CMs. - Periodically audit the CM for manufacture process quality management system.
