The Manufacturing and supply chain Finance team in China, within Devices Finance, is looking for a motivated individual with enthusiasm to take on a high impact role to focus on hardware production, CREW repair, supply chain asset management, as well as compliance control. Our business partners in the Devices team are responsible for the Microsoft Hardware businesses including Xbox, Surface and PC accessories. The environment is dynamic and innovative, where the finance team partners with Operations and Business Teams. The Manufacturing and supply chain Finance team in China contributes to Microsoft hardware business and drives profitable growth by: • Managing global manufacturing for hardware products and After-Market-Service repair. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities• Serve as a key Supply Chain Finance partner, owning end-to-end COGS (Cost of Goods Purchased) and sourcing processes. • Lead end-to-end contracted cost management processes for devices, from full assembly through packaging and shipment from factory. • Drive continuous improvement across the COGP/sourcing lifecycle in a dynamic environment, including PPV (Purchased Price Variance) early warning signals, cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting. • Partner closely with Sourcing Finance and Accounting to ensure data integrity and deliver on COGP Financial Rhythm of Business (RoB) requirements, including forecast loading, PPV reporting and alignment, and support for budgeting and planning cycles. Enable forward-looking insights to drive cost optimization. • Own pricing execution for finished goods purchasing, including timely pricing setup and ongoing PPV settlements with suppliers. Ensure strong process governance and compliance. • Lead the annual standard cost setup process, and ensure standard cost readiness for NPI (New Product Introduction) launches to enable on-time shipment. • Lead pricing and PPV audit activities in collaboration with business partners and contract manufacturers. • Define and deliver initiatives across business management systems, financial reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence to enhance supply chain finance effectiveness. Identify and drive AI and RPA opportunities to enable automation and process simplification across finance workflows. • Ad hoc requests as assigned by management.
• The role will be responsible for overseeing Product Cost analysts as the gatekeeper of the Finished Goods PO price with our CM partners from production ramp through EOL and engaging with our LOB managers in SCV. The candidate must have a high emphasis on attracting and developing talent, fostering cross-functional business partnerships, and an eye for improving processes and creative solutions. The role also requires deep attention to detail with oversight of high level of spend with our partners on a monthly basis. Key partners include Procurement GSSM parters, Biz Ops, Readiness, EPS/WPCM and various other Operations/Finance teams.
• Partner with Sales leadership team to shape revenue strategy, evaluate trade-offs, and align investments to long-term growth • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and inflection points; translate into actionable recommendations for senior leadership • Lead annual planning (OP1/OP2) and long-range financial modeling, partnering with WW AWS Finance on targets and narrative • Own revenue forecasting, profitability analysis, and productivity metrics; build intuitive models for real-time decision-making • Drive financial due diligence on complex programs and lead cross-functional alignment to resolution • Design scalable reporting and analytical frameworks to support sales coverage planning, headcount optimization, and resource allocation • Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) and English
