Responsible for Reconciliation of Funding Cost • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and system consistency of channel funding cost • Implement robust reconciliation mechanisms to align internal systems with external partner records. End-to-End Management of Channel Settlements • Oversee the full lifecycle of fee settlements between channel partners and the company, including invoice verification, payment requests, dispute resolution, and exception handling. • Proactively identify and escalate potential risks to mitigate financial discrepancies. Design and Execution of Standardized Reconciliation Reports • Develop and maintain standardized reconciliation frameworks, leveraging multidimensional data analysis to identify critical variances and latent risks. • Deliver insights to drive process improvements and risk mitigation strategies. Digital Transformation of Reconciliation and Settlement Processes • Drive innovation by exploring and implementing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AI-based reconciliation tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. • Collaborate with technology teams to optimize digital workflows and system integrations. Support Business Cost Analysis with Data-Driven Insights • Generate visualized analytical reports to meet the funding cost analysis needs of front-end business units. • Propose actionable process optimization strategies and cost-reduction initiatives based on data trends.
In this position you will: Be responsible for the accounting related matters for the Singapore entities within the Lazada Group, focus mainly on cross border logistics and cross border business, and handle other business areas as required. Perform & review the accounting functions within Lazada Group including: Month-end closing, including reviewing accounting entries and accruals Review Balance sheet reconciliation schedules Prepare Balance sheet, profit and loss and reporting packages VAT reporting, withholding tax, transfer pricing and corporate tax reporting Intercompany reconciliation Month vs month analysis of balance sheet and P&L. Ensure local accounting standards application, issue identification and resolution. Work closely with the Shared Services and Outsource team. Work closely with finance business partners to understand the business and review reasonableness of financial statements. Involve and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements. Review vendor aging to ensure existence of liabilities, long overdue are reviewed and followed up promptly. Monthly accruals for expenses that are not recorded via the procurement system. Review reporting packages before submission to Regional. Preparation of annual Statutory financial statements. Assist with audit request during annual financial statements audit. Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period. Subject matter expert for key systems, including suggesting improvement areas and documented the SOP. Understand business and process flows, and impact to financial statements. Participate in projects as required.
The position will be part of a growing and dynamic International Compliance team supporting Ant International’s business, in particular the provision of payments and financial services to corporate customers. The ideal candidate will be a confident individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and one who is able to demonstrate the ability to effectively and proactively exercise good judgment and partner with the business in a fast-paced environment. • Support Ant International business, working closely with the business team and the other risk teams including Regional Compliance, Legal, AML, Privacy and Risk Management colleagues in PRC and other international markets, to provide solid regulatory advice and solutions. • Work with Regional Compliance colleagues on applications for, and continuing maintenance of, payment institutions, payment systems, wallet and e-money licences, money transfer/ remittance licenses (where applicable) for corporate/SME businesses conducted by Ant International. • Serving as point of contact with internal business stakeholders, while work with regional Compliance and other risk colleagues in driving regulatory engagement for new/revised business initiatives. • Support the agenda of Ant International compliance function, including developing compliance policies and procedures, coordinating with other relevant teams in managing and responding to regulators in relation to AML/Sanctions compliance, data privacy, consumer protection, and providing compliance regulatory risk assessments and program implementation • Identify regulatory compliance risks, escalate potential regulatory and policy breaches and issues to Senior Management. • Conduct internal compliance training from time to time.
We are seeking a highly experienced accounting and reporting professional with strong experiense in IFRS 9, IFRS 3, IFRS 10, and IAS 28. This role will be driving technical accounting, consolidation, and reporting across the Group, including acquired subsidiaries and complex investment structures. A critical part of the role will involve working closely with Investments and Corporate Development teams to assess accounting implications of new acquisitions, equity investments, and strategic initiatives. Prior experience in digital banking or fintech will be a strong advantage. Technical Accounting & Advisory • Apply expert knowledge of IFRS 9, IFRS 3, IFRS 10, and IAS 28 to evaluate accounting treatment of financial instruments, equity investments, and business combinations. • Prepare technical accounting position papers to support transaction structuring and reporting decisions. • Support valuation, impairment, and classification analyses for investments. • Lead training, policy-rollout for areas relating to IFRS 9, IFRS 3, IFRS 10, and IAS 28 Collaboration with Investments Teams • Partner with Investments, M&A, and Corporate Development teams on deal evaluation, due diligence, and transaction execution. • Provide accounting input on deal structuring, purchase price allocation (PPA), consolidation assessments, and equity method considerations. • Ensure seamless transition of acquired entities into the Group’s reporting framework post-acquisition. • Advise on ongoing reporting for joint ventures, associates, and structured entities. Acquired Subsidiaries – Consolidation & Reporting • Manage the consolidation process for subsidiaries, including newly acquired entities. • Ensure financial statements of subsidiaries are aligned with Group accounting policies and IFRS. • Review consolidation adjustments (intercompany eliminations, noncontrolling interests, goodwill, PPA adjustments). • Provide technical oversight to subsidiary finance teams and monitor post acquisition reporting quality. Group Financial Reporting • Support in the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including notes and disclosures. • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting cycles with the respective acquirees • Implement changes arising from new IFRS standards and ensure compliance with regulators. Leadership & Team Management • Supervise and mentor team members in consolidation, reporting, and technical accounting • Enhance reporting processes through automation and standardization. • Build technical accounting expertise across the team.
