1. Minimum 5 years of KYC/AML experience with a payment service provider, money service operator (MSO) consulting firm, or financial institution. Must have more than 3 years of team lead or manager experience. Those who have engaged in KYC/CDD for corporate client are preferred. 2. Have excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues across regions and business units. An accountable team player with collaborative spirit, ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders and customers. 3. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with the skills to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment 4. Strong analytical, creative problem-solving capabilities and ‘can-do’ attitude. 5. Excellent command of both spoken and written English. 6. CAMS or ICA qualified will be given the priority.

1. As the leader of the KYC team, Manage KYC operations based on MAS regulated bank compliance policies and KYC regulatory requirements. 2. Support the business to conduct customer check (KYC/CDD) analysis for new business or initiative. 3. Lead the planning and establishment of KYC capabilities including CDD, PEP, Sanctions, Adverse news review and due diligence capabilities for financing business. 4. Establish and improve KYC product capabilities, including on-boarding system, periodic review system, screening system. 5. Work closely with AML Compliance Officers (AMLOs) and Risk Officers to understand the regulatory requirements, status of system capability in relevant entities, identify the gaps if any, and propose the requests for system building or enhancement to relevant teams. 6. Collaborate with middle office and technology team to raise the system requests and to convert the business requirement into product requirement. Implement changes in processes or workflows and drive optimization. 7. Support the Risk and AML operation and link up with the business in case of any escalation.
1. CDD/KYC Operations & Compliance - Execute end-to end Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for merchants and clients, ensuring adherence to global AML/CFT regulations (e.g., FATF, local regulatory frameworks). - Conduct customer profile assessments, document verification (e.g., entity certificates, UBO identification), and ongoing periodic review etc. - Maintain audit-ready operational records and process document. 2. Operational Efficiency & Automation - Partner with Risk and LCAP Strategy teams to refine KYC/CDD standard, clear bottlenecks and optimize approval rates through data-driven adjustments. - Collaborate with Product/Tech to implement automation tools (e.g., OCR for document processing, RPA/APA for workflow triggers), reducing manual effort - Train frontline staff on CDD/KYC requirements and escalation protocols. - Implementation of Effectiveness Supervision and Inspection: - Identify, evaluate, and monitor various risks in daily business operations. - Conduct special reviews and inspections based on risk. - Timely feedback to management and business departments. Provide data-supported decision-making suggestions. - Offer effective improvement opinions and suggestions to prevent and reduce operational risks in key business and management areas.

Job Specification This role is required to operate with a strong commercial focus ensuring alignment to the Bank’s business objectives while adhering to the Bank’s control principles at all times. The KYC Specialist is required to utilise knowledge and expertise to manage and execute KYC-related activities, including onboarding, customer outreach, periodic and event trigger reviews, and provide SME support to the rest of the production team to ensure cases are completed in line with regulatory standard and the Bank’s KYC procedures. The successful candidate will join the KYC Operations team in Malaysia, reporting directly into the Operations Manager in Malaysia and KYC Operations lead in Singapore. Core Responsibilities and Accountability Documentation Review • Reach out to customers to obtain KYC information and documents, address any queries or clarifications raised by customers while maintaining a customer-oriented service attitude • Review and ensure that all information and documents collected are good to satisfy regulatory requirements Screening • Perform screening of customer names against lists, discount and mitigate screening hits for prospective and existing customers • Conduct outreach to customers to obtain relevant information to address screening alerts Enhanced Due Diligence/Periodic Reviews/Event Driven Reviews • Perform background checks and conduct interviews with customers • Review and update KYC profiles for existing customers in accordance with the review schedule • Conduct transaction reviews to identify any abnormalities that require further investigations • Investigate and conduct trigger event reviews on existing customers, assess customer’s business and perform AML risk assessment Transaction Monitoring • Reach out to customers to obtain relevant information to address transaction monitoring alerts • Evaluate the completeness of customer’s response and clarify where required Others • Provide support for urgent requests, assist the team in completing ad-hoc projects • Preparation of data to track Book of Work completion and MI reporting
