1. Design and implement comprehensive AML strategies that include, but are not limited to, the management of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), transaction monitoring, blacklist management, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and the assessment of negative news 2. Review and manage the escalation of high-risk accounts and PEP cases, ensuring that significant AML risks and concerns are communicated effectively to the AMLO as required 3. Support the organization in addressing regulatory inquiries and requests, including ad hoc inquiries and inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable obligations 4. Assist in the auditing process and prepare regulatory reports to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations 5. Identify and mitigate potential AML risks while addressing any existing gaps in compliance practices 6. Manage inquiries related to AML/CFT and respond to Due Diligence Questionnaires from banking partners and business associates promptly and professionally
1. As the leader of the KYC team, Manage KYC operations based on MAS regulated bank compliance policies and KYC regulatory requirements. 2. Support the business to conduct customer check (KYC/CDD) analysis for new business or initiative. 3. Lead the planning and establishment of KYC capabilities including CDD, PEP, Sanctions, Adverse news review and due diligence capabilities for financing business. 4. Establish and improve KYC product capabilities, including on-boarding system, periodic review system, screening system. 5. Work closely with AML Compliance Officers (AMLOs) and Risk Officers to understand the regulatory requirements, status of system capability in relevant entities, identify the gaps if any, and propose the requests for system building or enhancement to relevant teams. 6. Collaborate with middle office and technology team to raise the system requests and to convert the business requirement into product requirement. Implement changes in processes or workflows and drive optimization. 7. Support the Risk and AML operation and link up with the business in case of any escalation.
1. CDD/KYC Operations & Compliance - Execute end-to end Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for merchants and clients, ensuring adherence to global AML/CFT regulations (e.g., FATF, local regulatory frameworks). - Conduct customer profile assessments, document verification (e.g., entity certificates, UBO identification), and ongoing periodic review etc. - Maintain audit-ready operational records and process document. 2. Operational Efficiency & Automation - Partner with Risk and LCAP Strategy teams to refine KYC/CDD standard, clear bottlenecks and optimize approval rates through data-driven adjustments. - Collaborate with Product/Tech to implement automation tools (e.g., OCR for document processing, RPA/APA for workflow triggers), reducing manual effort - Train frontline staff on CDD/KYC requirements and escalation protocols. - Implementation of Effectiveness Supervision and Inspection: - Identify, evaluate, and monitor various risks in daily business operations. - Conduct special reviews and inspections based on risk. - Timely feedback to management and business departments. Provide data-supported decision-making suggestions. - Offer effective improvement opinions and suggestions to prevent and reduce operational risks in key business and management areas.
Job Summary: The candidate will be part of the expanding Ant International Legal, Compliance, AML and Privacy team, supporting the international business and will be part of the APAC AML Team. The candidate will assist the entity AMLOs in fulfilling the AML responsibilities of entities in South East Asia as needed. We are seeking a meticulous and industrious AML-Compliance professional to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders. The candidate will be versatile and flexible with the ability to manage an ambiguous and dynamic environment with changing priorities. Key Responsibilities: 1. Interpret regulations in collaboration with the AMLO and manage specific AML strategies. These strategies encompass, but are not limited to, those concerning PEPs, monitoring suspicious transactions, maintaining blacklists, conducting EDD, reviewing negative news, and performing CDD. 2. Review and approve the escalation of high-risk accounts and PEP cases, ensuring that significant AML risks and concerns are escalated to the AMLO as necessary. 3. Provide support to the AMLO in addressing regulatory-related requests, including ad hoc requests and inspections. 4. Assist the AMLO in the auditing process and the preparation of regulatory reports, including the Institutional Risk Assessment Report and the Suspicious Transactions Report. 5. Collaborate with the AMLO to identify and mitigate potential areas of AML risk and any existing gaps in compliance practices. 6. Manage inquiries related to AML/CTF and Due Diligence Questionnaires from banking partners and business associates Requirements: 1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in AML/CFT, financial crime prevention, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in an AML/CFT compliance role. 2. In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT regulations in Malaysia. 3. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin are advantageous. 4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and perform well under pressure to meet deadlines. 5. Experience liaising with Malaysian regulators is preferred. 6. Certification from ICA, ACAMS, or a similar institution is a plus.
1. Develop, maintain, and implement the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program. 2. Manage submissions, regulatory inquiries, audits, and ensure strong working relationships with regulatory authorities in Malaysia, including coordinating on-site inspections as needed. 3. Provide sound advice, recommendations, and solutions to relevant stakeholders regarding AML regulatory issues for licensed institutions in Malaysia. 4. Support and guide senior management to ensure that AML/CFT, and sanctions risks are adequately identified, understood, and mitigated. 5. Help formulate, review, and maintain the compliance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with AML-related laws and regulations in Malaysia. 6. Conduct periodic internal compliance training sessions and compliance risk assessments.
