Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Strategic Partnerships Team (SPT) as a Technical Business Developer. SPT’s primary objective is to identify and orchestrate strategic partnerships that accelerate our Devices & Services (D&S) business. We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical analysis to our leadership teams, but are adaptable and nimble, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. We are a tight-knit global team that values individuals who are self-starters, can think creatively and with clarity, and proactively seek out net-new strategic pursuits. As a Tech Business Developmer, you will be responsible for identifying, orchestrating, and delivering strategic pursuits with our most important partners. This is a high visibility role that requires the candidate to work with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership (Director/VP/SVP levels), to create stronger customer value propositions. The candidate will need to understand where our relative advantages or risks lie, when major features in existing roadmaps are set to launch, and current trends around innovation, consolidation and customer adoption. This could mean incubating technology deals or programs which are seminal in nature, need a centralized advocate, and have broader implications to Amazon, so the candidate must think strategically and support their recommendation with sound business judgement and insights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully identifying and delivering strategic partnerships, developing scalable mechanisms, and closing complex deals. This role requires top tier written and verbal communication with extensive experience in cross-functional collaboration across leadership levels to formulate comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational goals. This is a highly technical role, and requires fundamental understanding of technology domains such as AI, system-on-chip, connectivity, device hardware/ software, Operating systems. This role requires international travel up to 30% of the time.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the rapidly growing Life Science & Healthcare market, including pharmaceutical companies, innovative research and development, medical devices, life sciences, genetic research, home care, and other relevant sectors. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers within target accounts. • Develop and execute effective sales strategies, tailored to the unique needs and requirements of potential customers. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts and product managers, to develop compelling value propositions and solutions. • Conduct in-depth market research, analyze industry trends, and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and innovations in the Life Science & Healthcare space. • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and closing deals. • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall growth and success in the Life Science & Healthcare market.
Strategic Account Management • Own and manage a top-tier DNB Pursue strategic account (such as leading CE) with high digital maturity and significant cloud infrastructure requirements. • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned with customer's digital transformation roadmap • Drive deep C-level and executive engagement across customer organizations, building trusted advisor relationships and influencing strategic technology decisions • Lead complex contract negotiations involving multiple stakeholders Revenue Growth & Business Development • Drive revenue expansion by identifying cloud adoption opportunities across the customer's digital ecosystem • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions • Achieve ambitious revenue targets through high-value, complex deal structures Strategic Planning & Execution • Create long-term account development plans with clear milestones and success metrics • Conduct regular executive business reviews with customer and internal leadership • Identify emerging technology trends and business opportunities within the account
- Drive product development across internal teams and external development/manufacturing partners as the Single Threaded Owner for Operations. - Develop manufacturing and supply chain strategies to meet product requirements. - Support product concept development as Operations lead. - Execute development builds by overseeing technical issue resolution and production schedule. - Regular written and verbal communication to Leadership. - Coordinate information flow across teams in support of manufacturing/operations. - Drive alignment of processes and initiatives throughout Device Operations organization. - Define and guide decisions on type of Variable Engagement Module (VEM) appropriate for the specific product, customer need, and launch schedule. - Bring in and incorporate industry best practices into the Product Operations group. - Travel as required to accomplish business needs.
