Join Alipay+ Central Ops CoC - the core team for Alipay+ business daily operations. You are expected to work closely with BD, product, tech, funding, risk, branding, legal etc. teams, to ensure that Alipay+ business rules and standards are observed, hence enabling the efficiency and sustainability during continuous business expansion. Regular reporting to senior management is needed. Here is a brief summary of your key tasks: - Business model design: understand emerging business scenarios, conduct industry landscape analysis, and formulate a sound model to achieve a balance among rights, obligations and business values for all parties in the business flow. - Business support: design the business policy to support the regional BD teams to achieve the business goal. As the payment business expert, manage the business plan of core operation product. Fully understand the rules, product and can provide training and support to BD team. - Business project management: work with relevant teams to provide assessments and solutions that are in line with industry and regulatory practices. As the Business Development Lead for Alipay+ in Malaysia, you will be the driving force behind the expansion of our digital payment and business solutions. You will own the full business development lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities and building strategic partnerships to managing key accounts and executing go-to-market plans. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of the payments, e-commerce, and digital solutions landscape in Malaysia. What You’ll Do: Lead Strategic Growth: Drive the adoption of Alipay+ digital payment and digitalization solutions across Malaysia. Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities with a focus on increasing sales volume and merchant adoption. Build Key Partnerships: Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partners, including independent software vendors (ISVs), banks, non-bank acquirers, and marketing partners, to expand the Alipay+ acceptance network and drive business growth. Manage Key Accounts: Serve as the primary account manager for our most important merchants. Develop and execute creative strategies to deepen relationships and increase the usage of Alipay+ solutions. Drive Sales and Execution: Lead the end-to-end sales process, including responding to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. Prepare and deliver compelling pitches and presentations to potential partners and key accounts. Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with cross-functional teams in Singapore and China, aligning on business goals and market strategies. You will also be the main point of contact for local businesses and government agencies. Market and Promote: Support local marketing and public relations initiatives to enhance the Alipay+ brand and visibility. Coordinate sales activities with marketing campaigns to maximize their effectiveness. Analyze and Optimize: Track and report on key business metrics weekly and monthly. Use data to inform business strategy, identify new opportunities, and solve challenges.
Alipay+ is a global payment system aiming at collaborating with wallets, acquirers, and other payment systems to jointly enable interoperable and digital payment experiences for worldwide users and merchants. Alipay+ services include transaction processing, clearing and fund settlement, under unified commercial, product, settlement, fx, dispute and risk management rules for wallets and acquirers based in different countries. As a member of the Alipay+ Policy Center, you'll be leveraging your payment industry expertise to shape the governance policy of Alipay+ network. This includes rules workshops/consultations for external customers, business request analysis/rules deviation approvals with internal stakeholder teams, as well as rulebook and policy design for new payment products. What you'll do: - Rules support for business projects: Serve as a subject matter expert for new and existing business projects. You'll respond to inquiries from business teams and other functional groups, providing critical advice and interpretation of Alipay+ network rules during contract negotiations and daily operations. You may also be required to provide rules training workshops or compile training materials for business teams and external customers. - Manage the Alipay+ Rule Book: Support senior management business strategies or business teams' requests via rules design. This requires research on industry common practices and standards, discussion with product or operation teams, business model and rights/obligations design, rules documents drafting, and work with legal/compliance teams for rules release to external customers.
